The Story

Why we built this.

Project Roger started with a single question from an electrical PPE testing lab in West Virginia: 'Why is there no good software for this?' The inspection tools that existed were either built for enterprise IT teams or were glorified PDF generators. Nothing was built for the technician in the field.

We are based in Parkersburg, West Virginia — the middle of the country's industrial backbone. Power lines go up here. Pressure vessels and piping get inspected here. Electrical PPE testing labs certify the gloves that keep linemen alive. We are surrounded by the people who need this software.

So we built it directly with them. Every template was built to the actual OSHA and ASTM standard. Every workflow was tested on an actual shop floor, against real equipment and real certificates. That is not a demo — that is a production compliance record.

Hesson Innovations is a small team. We plan to keep it that way. Small enough to know every client by name. Focused enough to build software that holds up when an auditor walks through the door.

How we got here.

2023

First version built for an electrical PPE testing lab in West Virginia. The question that started it: why is there no good software for this?

2024

Electrical PPE testing module built and deployed. A regional testing lab begins running their full compliance workflow on Project Roger.

2025

Platform expanded — client portal, certificate vault, equipment lifecycle tracking, and nine ASTM/OSHA-grade preset templates.

June 2026

Project Roger officially launches under Hesson Innovations. Invite-only. Electrical PPE testing and non-destructive testing verticals. Built to the standard.
